• Member: $100.00, plus a small materials fee paid to the instructor at the workshop
• Non-member: $120.00, plus a small materials fee paid to the instructor at the workshop

Workshop description:

This workshop will focus on the basics of backstrap weaving. We will cover the following topics:

• Talk about different set ups and tools for creating and weaving on a backstrap loom.
• Discuss designing for plain weave bands including a demonstration of Inkle Visualizer, the software the instructor uses for designing.
• Wind a narrow warp and set it up for weaving, including heddling your warp.
• Weave the warp you prepared.

Students should bring:

• Scissors
• Note taking supplies
• A clamp (details to be sent to students prior to the workshop)
