Susan presented the treasurer’s report, and suggested we move the accounts to an institution that accepts Zelle payments when the CDs mature.
Patrice moved to accept the treasurer’s report, LeAnn seconded, and the measure passed unanimously.
Susan moved to approve the minutes from January, Patrice seconded, and the measure passed unanimously.
70th Anniversary
Susan will get the bookmarks printed, which have a two week lead time.
Susan updated us on the library exhibits. The Boulder Creek exhibit will run from late June through July. The Felton, Scotts Valley, Live Oak, Aptos, and Capitola libraries are on board, but not fixed yet. There is a need to organize who is exhibiting in the libraries.
Marilou has purchased acid-free material to preserve our history binder. She has also discovered historical material summarizing what we’ve done over the years.
Marilou proposed we write an article for SC Vibes magazine, which is published in the spring and fall.

Miscellaneous
LeAnn proposed we rent MCSC 6 Saturdays a year to hold a crafters meeting where people bring a project to work on and socialize.
There was discussion about giving Amy Chirman a life membership for her donation of the library storage cases, but there was no consensus, so it was tabled for another time.
Addendum
After the meeting concluded, LeAnn asked for approval for the following via email:
To rent from MCSC for 2 Saturdays in 2025 for 6 hours (10 AM to 4 PM) at $20 per hour, a total cost of $240. We will monitor attendance and interest and then decide about proceeding in 2026.
To request a community meeting at the Scotts Valley Library once a month for the public to meet and create textile art. No funds needed.
All board members agreed unanimously.
LeAnn also asked via email for approval for $120 fee for a booth at the Radius Gallery for the Spring Market as part of our joint exhibition. Members will be allowed to sell their hand made items. The application deadline for the market is before the next board meeting, so it was necessary to get approval immediately.
All board members agreed unanimously.
