Present: Marilou Moschetti, Bruce Fihe, Susan Penney, LeAnn Bjelle, Joan Vierra, Amy Chirman
Meeting called to order at 5:11 p.m.
Voting for next year’s Board by members in active standing will take place at the June general meeting. Continuing with the Board is Susan Penney as Treasurer. For the coming year, LeAnn Bjelle is running for Board President, Patrice Keet for Vice President, Alexandra (Alex) Emrick for Secretary, and Elizabeth Schilling for Programs Coordinator. Bruce Fihe will also continue as Webmaster (which is not a Board position).
The April presentation was well done and well received, with a full complement of participants in the afternoon workshop.
The new meeting location at the Mid-County Senior Center Annex was well received by membership. The guild library was utilized by members who were able to peruse the collection and check out items. A “how to” use the library’s online catalog from laptops and cell phones will be provided to membership at a meeting in the near future. Meanwhile, the guild needs to book the Annex for the coming year’s needs and pay for that planned usage.
The Treasurer’s report was provided. The guild’s current financial institution (Bay Federal Credit Union) uses the Zelle app for financial transactions but does not allow businesses such as SCTAG to make transactions. Susan will look into this further and recommend whether the guild should switch to a different financial institution that does allow Zelle business transactions.
Does the Guild want to consider one or more local charity organizations to promote to members who are interested in making donations? This practice is done by other CNCH guilds.
Requests for textile arts-related links out from the SCTAG website will be available for active members and former presenters only.
The updated CNCH bylaws have been approved.
Bruce has written a draft workshop procedures document and presenter contract checklist that will be reviewed and refined by the 2024/25 Board and Programs committee.
