Our President, Marilou Moschetti, called the meeting to order at 9:30 am.  Marilou graciously welcomed everyone to our new meeting facility, the Quaker Friendship Meeting House.  Marilou invited first time visitors/members to introduce themselves:  Susan Graziano and Sue Martinez, both new members, introduced themselves.

Treasurer, Susan Penney, provided a current Treasurer’s Report, see attached.

Our CNCH representative, Sharolene Brunston, gave a brief report on the next CNCH Conference, to be held in Rohnert Park, in the Sonoma Wine Country.  Conference registration opens Jan 12, 2024, but rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton can be reserved now.

Board Election: The acting Board needs to be voted in. Current acting Board members are:

Susan Penney, Treasurer
LeAnn Bjelle, Programs Chair
Amy Chirman, Secretary/Historian

A motion to approve the new Board was made and seconded. A vote was taken and passed unanimously.

Programs Committee members are Jen Dyer and Roberta Valdez. Immediate Past President is Joan Vierra.

Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm

August Board meeting minutes had been provided to the Board in preparation for this meeting and were briefly discussed. In particular, it was determined that the Treasurer’s cycle should remain as is. A motion to approve the minutes was made, seconded, voted on, and passed unanimously.

Treasurer’s report: Effective this month, the budget report will now include beginning balances and a Projected column. Budget reports will be made available at general membership meetings in the Information Manual maintained by the Secretary and brought to each general membership meeting.

1. The Santa Cruz Friends Meetinghouse (Quakers — QMH) at 225 Rooney St. in Santa Cruz has been visited by a number of Board and general members multiple times for consideration as a new location for SCTAG general membership meetings and workshops. The QMH has been found to be an improvement over the current meeting site for reasons including better parking, a more centralized location, no stairs, padded seating, stronger built-in AV tools, and a second room available for workshops.

The current meeting facility contract with County Parks for use of the Aptos Village Park Community Center will expire at the end of this year. Currently the Guild has three more meetings scheduled at this facility.

Heritage Fund was discussed, how it came into being and how those monies are meant to be used:  restricted to all-Guild programs and education.

The meeting was called to order at 9:35 by President, Marilou Moschetti. She welcomed all, including guests and new members.

-Marilou read a letter of appreciation from Ukraine for the box of warm hats and scarves that were created by guild members and sent last winter.
