Meeting Minutes – March 13, 2024

Guests and new members were offered the opportunity to introduce themselves. Volunteers were thanked, including the Board, County Fair coordinator, Webmaster, Programs committee, Library committee, Welcome committee, Historian, HGA and CNCH representatives, Interest Group leaders, and Facilities volunteers.

Effective with the May 8 general meeting, the Guild is relocating to the Mid County Senior Center (MCSC) Annex located at 829 Bay Avenue in Capitola, behind the Woodworm party supply store.

Board Meeting Minutes – January 8, 2024

1. Equipment List

It’s time to update the list of Guild-owned equipment. Marilou has the existing list compiled by Janette G., and Joan V. will take lead on the update starting the end of January. Members who are currently using or storing any Guild equipment are asked to notify Joan by phone of what they have.

Meeting Minutes – February 8, 2024

Zoom meeting called to order at 4:30 p.m.

1. Conference of Northern California Handweavers (CNCH) gift basket:

Our basket’s theme will be Color & Texture. Basket dimensions are roughly 10” wide x 13” long x 7” tall. So far we have donations of a skein of colorful art yarn and a book on color in weaving. Joan will look into what’s available in the Guild’s small equipment storage to see if there’s anything to add to the basket. Members are encouraged to donate to the basket. Conference dates are 4/25-28.

Meeting Minutes – January 10, 2024

The Guild President called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. The first order of business was for guests to have the opportunity to introduce themselves. Next, the Treasurer’s report was provided along with a reminder that these reports are always available to members upon request of the Treasurer and are also provided at Guild meetings in the Information Manual maintained by the Secretary.

Meeting Minutes – October 11, 2023

Our President, Marilou Moschetti, called the meeting to order at 9:30 am.  Marilou graciously welcomed everyone to our new meeting facility, the Quaker Friendship Meeting House.  Marilou invited first time visitors/members to introduce themselves:  Susan Graziano and Sue Martinez, both new members, introduced themselves.

Treasurer, Susan Penney, provided a current Treasurer’s Report, see attached.

Our CNCH representative, Sharolene Brunston, gave a brief report on the next CNCH Conference, to be held in Rohnert Park, in the Sonoma Wine Country.  Conference registration opens Jan 12, 2024, but rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton can be reserved now.
